Alp Haydar’s New Vagina
8 pm • £7
Royal Vauxhall Tavern, Kennington Lane, London – SE11 5HY
………………………………………………………………………………………….

Winner of the TimeOut Audience Award 2012, Alp Haydar, performs this Critic’s Choice show, before the premiere of it’s sequel next week.

Having lost the affections of his Jihadist boyfriend Mohammed in his last show (due to the electric shock therapy administered by his mother, Sharia Law) we now see Alp undergoing gender reassignment, in a bid to fool his ex into loving him again. A story of love, betrayal and our right for self-determination.

Presented in the film-noir style, mixing live performance, satirical send-ups, wanton sexuality and ambitious video work, this schizophrenic one-man pantomime will leave you dazed and delighted!

There has quite possibly in the history of mankind never been a show like Alp Haydar’s…. thought-provoking, moving and hilarious.

Ben Walters • TimeOut London

Alp Haydar has the best male arse in cabaret.

Franco Millazo • ThisIsCabaret.com

Alp can always be relied on to go just a little bit too far. Whether out of eagerness to please, or insecurity that no-one will come back.

About Polari Magazine

Polari Magazine is an LGBT arts and culture magazine that explores the subculture by looking at what is important to the people who are in it. It’s about the lives we lead, not the lifestyles we’re supposed to lead.

Its content is informed & insightful, and features a diverse range of writers from every section of the community. Its intent is to help LGBT readers learn about their own heritage and to sustain a link between the present and the past.

Polari is designed to nurture the idea of community, whether that be social and political, or artistic and creative. It is your magazine, whether you want to read it, or whether you want to get involved in it, if you're gay, lesbian, bisexual, trans, or queer.

Polari Magazine is all these: it's a gay online magazine; it's a gay and lesbian online magazine; it's an LGBT arts and culture magazine. Ultimately, it is a queer magazine.
