Each Friday Polari shares its favourite WTF?! search terms from the last 7 days.
How do Googlers get to Polari using some of these search terms?
Here are our 7 favourite, and no so favourite, WTF?! search terms from this week…
some of my best friends are gil gerard
Mine, too! We sit around and talk about the glory days of Buck Rogers, and laugh at how much fun we had with Twiki. Then someone mentions Erin Gray’s outfits and it’s time for a trip to the boy’s room before being returned to our cells …
smegma makes her drag
Is that drag, or gag? Not even Lady Gaga would go for that kind of dress.
the singing nun was gay
Do they mean Jeanine Deckers, the singer of ‘Dominique’ (which is now playing in American Horror Story: Asylum week after week) or Debbie Reynolds? Nuns are celibate, right?
photographer living in new mexico working with dead
Is that ‘with’ or ‘on’? Would ‘with’ mean a medium, or a zombie master? It turns out that this search is for Joel Peter Witkin, who is mentioned by Lee Baxter in his Polari interview (click here to read Interview: Photographer Lee Baxter). Google says: “His work often deals with such themes as death, corpses, and various outsiders such as dwarfs, transsexuals, hermaphrodites, and physically deformed people.” That’s not very up-to-date with the terms, now, is it? I’m going to set Elly Barnes on them.
ben 10 feedback art gay, apostle ben 10 sex comic
I thought Ben 10 was a kid’s show … It’s not right!
strictly ballroom barry fife costume
Who would want to dress up like Barry Fife? Unless they’re looking to get their quo vadis back, so to speak.
Does this need commentary? I think not. I thank you.
